Great Falls College MSU is seeking enthusiastic adjunct instructors for Music and Art within the Communication, Arts & Humanities Department. Adjunct faculty may teach in-person, online, or hybrid courses and are hired semester-by-semester.

Qualified applicants hold a Master’s degree with at least nine graduate credits in the subject area. Compensation is by credit, with courses potentially offered evenings.

Qualifications

  • Qualified applicants must hold a Master’s degree in the teaching field or a closely related discipline.
  • Must have at least nine (9) graduate-level semester credits in the subject area to be taught.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and teach subject matter content to traditional and nontraditional students.
  • Prepare syllabi consistent with approved course outlines and department expectations.
  • Utilize Canvas to deliver course content, maintain materials, communicate with students, and track progress.
  • Maintain regular and timely communication with students and provide feedback.
  • Accurately report attendance and participation.
  • Develop and administer assessments measuring learning outcomes and provide feedback.
  • Submit midterm and final grades by deadlines.
  • Stay current in the field and engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Contribute to a positive and effective learning environment.
