Sunstates Security is hiring a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in the Savannah area to safeguard a museum campus. You will maintain a professional security presence, monitor areas, and respond to incidents with calm, professional judgment while adhering to post orders and laws.

Ideal candidates are 18+, possess a High School diploma or GED, can work in the United States, and communicate clearly under pressure. Prior security/public safety experience is preferred; neat appearance is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or as required by law and company policy.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States.
• Prior security, law enforcement, military, school security, or public safety experience preferred.
• Strong communication, observation, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, patrol, and remain alert for extended periods.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and comply with uniform standards.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a professional, visible security presence during assigned hours.
• Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, hallways, and designated areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Assist with access control by verifying visitors, vendors, and authorized personnel.
• Conduct routine patrols of the museum campus interior and exterior.
• Observe, identify, and report suspicious activity or safety concerns.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, alarms, disturbances, or requests for assistance.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and company leadership as needed.
