Job summary

Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego is seeking a part-time Security Services Representative to monitor crowds, enforce museum policies, and safeguard staff, visitors, and the art collection during events and daily operations.

The role requires strong customer service and the ability to respond to emergencies, conduct patrols, and complete incident reports. BSIS guard card is mandatory, with on-site work and flexible hours including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide security for guests, staff and exhibits during events.
• Enforce museum policies to protect the collection.
• Perform required security patrols and audits.
• Complete incident and observation reports.
• Respond to emergencies and assist as needed.
• Assist with after-hours patrols and escorts.
• Educate visitors about museum history and programs.
• Follow safety policies to maintain a safe work environment.
• Work varying shifts including weekends and evenings.
• Support training sessions and site security plans.
• Other duties as assigned.
