Job summary

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is seeking a part-time Research Assistant to support the Experience Development and Family Learning research program. You will collect data from visitors, analyze datasets, and prepare data summaries and reports under the guidance of the Research and Evaluation Associate.

The role emphasizes inclusive evaluation, data visualization, and clear writing of findings. Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year in social science research preferred.
• Experience in learning environments is a plus.
• Strong data handling and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Follows instructions to collect data for evaluation studies.
• Develops simple instruments for studies (observation forms, surveys).
• Sets up and uses data collection/analysis tools; codes and enters data.
• Calculates descriptive (and inferential when appropriate) statistics.
• Prepares data summaries and visualizations for reports and presentations.
• Performs clerical duties as assigned.
• Supports inclusive evaluation studies with diverse communities.
