This non-exempt (hourly) position requires working knowledge of museum operations, educational programming for children and adults, and public history theory. The Museum Programming Coordinator is responsible for the education programs at the Museum including guided tours and field trips and requires a high degree of knowledge of collections management, best archival practices, and research techniques. The position is responsible for the development and maintenance of exhibitions on-site and off-site. Processes research requests submitted to the Museum, including primary source research and writing for both general and professional audiences.
As part of the Museum team, this individual staffs the Museum desks in the back or front and gift shop daily and staffs special events and works on holidays throughout the year. Museum operating hours are Tuesday-Sunday 9am-5:30pm with some extended hours for events, projects, and programming.
This position supervises volunteers and part-time staff on specific projects, and acts as a MOD (manager on duty) in the absence of the Museum Manager.

Museum Programming Coordinator full wage range = $29.94 - $44.91
