Job summary

The New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA) is seeking a Facilities Attendant to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the Museum and Sculpture Garden. You will handle daily custodial tasks, support event setup and teardown, and help ensure a welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and volunteers.

In this role you will work under the Facilities Manager, follow safety procedures, and help protect the Museum’s facilities and art collection while contributing to a professional visitor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous custodial or facilities experience preferred.
• Two years of related experience is desirable.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain restrooms, public areas, floors, and glass daily.
• Operate floor-care machines and custodial equipment safely.
• Assist with setup/breakdown of museum events.
• Monitor safety and cleanliness; report issues.
• Coordinate with Facilities Manager on priorities.
• Perform other facility-related tasks as assigned.
