Job summary

Discovery Place KIDS-Rockingham is seeking energetic staff to facilitate guest experiences through demonstrations, programming and shows, while engaging families in interactive learning.

The role also involves admissions-related duties at the front desk, retail transactions, and ensuring safety and high-quality experiences across exhibits and events. A Bachelor’s degree and museum/education exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; two years of experience in education, museums or related organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate day-to-day experiences, programs and shows, engaging guests and leading educational activities.
• Conduct admissions-related operations at the front desk and assist with check-in and retail sales.
• Monitor exhibits and environment for safety and high-quality guest experiences; perform daily housekeeping and sanitization.
• Engage with guests using informal educational approaches and adapt content to ages and interests.
• Collaborate with team members and volunteers to deliver high-quality museum experiences.
• Support with special event days and program readiness, ensuring a positive atmosphere.
