Job summary

University of Florida is seeking a Museum Events & Facility Rentals Manager on the Gainesville main campus. This role oversees private rental operations, coordinates events in museum spaces, and drives revenue through lease agreements and event services.

The position reports to the Associate Director for Operations and requires a bachelor’s degree with five years of relevant experience, strong communication, budgeting, and supervisory capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and five years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Event management and program management experience preferred; sales or contract experience desirable.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; strong time management and budgeting ability; ability to supervise staff and coordinate with departments.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Museum's private rental program and coordinate events in Museum spaces.
• Develop revenue goals, strategies, and initiatives; monitor financial sustainability of the Rentals Program.
• Negotiate rental agreements, process payments, and ensure compliance with policies and vendor standards.
• Coordinate events on-site, provide tours, write rental estimates, and maintain event floors plans and inventories.
• Supervise OPS staff and interns; coordinate with UF departments and external partners.
