Job summary

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Art History, Museum Studies, Education, Art Education, or related field.
• Three+ years of museum or cultural org experience developing educational programs and supervising people.
• Knowledge of art education practices, museum work, and standards.
• Familiarity with NYS learning standards and K-12 education needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule docent meetings, briefings, and educational sessions.
• Provide docent orientation and training on exhibitions for diverse visitors.
• Coordinate tour dates and docent staffing in scheduling systems.
• Develop school and community programs linking collections to curricula.
• Manage internship programs and supervise interns and volunteers.
• Deliver tours and presentations for groups of all ages.
