Job summary

Agua Caliente Cultural Museum in Palm Springs, CA seeks a Museum Educator to deliver tours, workshops, and lessons for learners of all ages. You will assist with planning and executing school and public programs, interpret collections, and work with the Education and Public Engagement team on outreach and weekend activities.

Ideal candidates have a passion for education, strong classroom management, and ability to engage diverse audiences while collaborating with museum staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Education.
• Experience in formal or informal educational settings.
• Interest in teaching children and families to create positive museum experiences.
• Ability to work with large groups of children, parents, and teachers.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Guide educational tours and workshops for diverse learners.
• Assist with development and implementation of K-12 programs.
• Facilitate school programs in- and outside the museum.
• Collaborate on gallery guides and educational content.
• Support public programs and outreach initiatives.
• Lead and supervise summer camp activities as needed.
• Provide engaging tours along Oasis Trail and Museum grounds.
