Job summary

Indiana University Bloomington invites applications for an in-person Education Programs Coordinator within the IU Museum of Archaeology & Anthropology. The role collaborates with the Learning and Community Engagement team to support education work, develop tours, community programs, and family activities.

Requires Bachelor's degree in education or related field; 2 years in education or related field. Preferred degrees include museum studies, anthropology, folklore, or history.

  • Experience in education, fine arts, or related field is required (2 years).
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with Learning and Community Engagement to provide administrative and creative support for education work.
  • Assists with community programs, tour development and delivery, and outreach education.
  • Develops and implements staff-led tour programs and training for docents.
  • Conducts outreach visits to schools and community organizations.
  • Develops in-gallery interpretation and interactive experiences.
