Job summary

Honolulu Museum of Art is seeking a full-time Custodian to maintain a clean, safe campus and assist with event setup. Under the Facilities Manager, you will sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas, replenish supplies, and report safety concerns.

You will contribute to a welcoming environment for students, employees, and visitors. The position emphasizes independent work, reliability, and strong customer service, with a Monday–Friday schedule and potential for varied hours based

Qualifications

• One year of custodial, janitorial, or related experience.
• Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with staff, volunteers, visitors, and contractors.
• Honesty, integrity and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work with a diverse community of visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming campus environment.
• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Assist with event setup and teardown and replenish supplies.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to the Facilities Manager.
• Support overall appearance and functionality of facilities while providing excellent service.
