Ladgov Corporation seeks a qualified Museum Curator to support the U.S. Navy Seabee Museum in Port Hueneme, California.

The selected candidate will assist with preserving, documenting, and digitizing the museum's historic artifact collection while working closely with museum leadership and staff. This position plays an important role in improving access to the museum's collection through inventory management, photography, and proper artifact preservation.

Qualifications

• Experience with museum collections, archives, or historical artifacts.
• Knowledge of museum collection management standards and preservation practices.
• Experience with digital photography for documentation purposes.
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with museum staff and visitors.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform activities such as standing, bending, climbing ladders, and walking throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

• Unpack, identify, catalog, and repack artifacts using museum preservation standards.
• Photograph artifacts for digital records.
