Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Enhance awareness of museum collections for internal and external audiences.
• Respond to research requests from the public, media, and staff; verify information and serve as a local history expert.
• Maintain the museum’s research library, vertical files, and electronic database; provide access to online collections.
• Accept requests for photographic reproductions; draft RFPs and assist on selection committees and contracts.
• Monitor facilities, review invoices, and supervise contractors and work crews; manage exhibits and traveling displays.
• Upload historic photos/maps/docs to the online archive and county SharePoint; maintain donor records and lending processes.
• Plan, present, and evaluate museum programming; develop volunteer training; align offerings with standards; oversee marketing and revenue initiatives.
