Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Communications Specialist for the Kemper Art Museum in St. Louis, MO.

You will lead content development for marketing communications, shaping tone and messaging across social media, newsletters, print and digital materials and working with university offices to align messaging. You will manage content calendars, collaborate with curators and educators, supervise external designers, and coordinate with press relations to amplify the Museum’s reach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
• Relevant experience in marketing/communications, with strong writing and editing skills.
• Ability to create accessible communication experiences for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of written marketing and communications content across assets.
• Write, edit, proofread promotional assets for the Museum and exhibitions across media.
• Oversee content strategy with internal teams and external partners.
• Coordinate with printers and external designers for print materials.
• Develop content calendars and coordinate email campaigns and newsletters.
