Job summary

Glenstone Museum in Potomac, MD, seeks a Prep Cook to join the Café team. You’ll set up the kitchen each day, receive deliveries, and prepare mise en place for several stations before service.

Under the Chef, you’ll help with cooking and plating while ensuring consistency and high quality in every dish. The role requires at least 2 years in a full-service kitchen, strong attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to work Wednesday to Sunday, including evenings.

Qualifications

• Min. 2 years in a full-service, from-scratch kitchen.
• Attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand long periods.
• Current SERV Safe certification required.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and presentation standards.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation.
• Receive and unload deliveries.
• Stock the line with items for orders.
• Prepare mis en place for multiple stations before service.
• Assist with cooking and plating during service.
• Break down and clean the kitchen daily.
• Prepare for the next service.
