MUSCP - Medical Office Assistant - Health East Cooper in Mt. Pleasant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome patients and families in person or on the phone.
  • Optimize patient experience and clinic efficiency by scheduling appointments appropriately.
  • Maintain patient accounts by accurately recording and updating personal and financial information.
  • Collect co-pays and previous balances.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and rights.
  • Provide excellent customer service, manage messages, schedule ancillary services, and handle referrals.
  • Interact effectively with medical professionals and diverse care team members.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of customer service experience.
  • Basic computer skills; healthcare front desk experience preferred.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and communicate effectively.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, climb stairs, reach, perform repetitive motions, and lift objects up to 20 lbs. Vision must be corrected to 20/40, and work is indoors in a latex-safe environment.
