The City of Mequon is seeking an experienced Utilities Manager to oversee water and wastewater utilities, leading daily operations and long-term infrastructure needs. This leadership role includes regulatory compliance, capital improvement oversight, budgeting, and strategic utility planning.

Qualifications include a Civil Engineering degree and a Wisconsin PE license, with at least four years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• Wisconsin PE license.
• At least four years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of municipal water and wastewater systems, engineering principles, regulatory requirements and infrastructure management.
• Experience with project management, budgeting and personnel management is desirable.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and safe driving record at time of hire and throughout employment.

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership and management oversight of the City's water and wastewater utilities, including daily operations and long-term infrastructure needs.
• Oversee sanitary sewer capital improvement projects, including the development and quality control of engineering plans, specifications and bidding documents.
• Develop and manage the Wastewater Division's annual budget and provide oversight of the Water Division's budget and operations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable state, regional, and local regulatory requirements.
• Oversee utility asset management, including the use of GIS and other tools to support infrastructure planning and maintenance.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to City leadership, committees and the Common Council.
• Support staff development, training, and professional growth while collaborating with internal departments, consultants, regulatory agencies and the public.
