Job summary

Weston & Sampson is seeking a Water Infrastructure Project Engineer to join our Drinking Water Program. You will help plan, evaluate, design, and improve municipal water infrastructure, including water mains, pump stations, storage, and treatment.

This role is based in Reading, Foxborough, or Worcester, MA, with onsite work required at the assigned location. You’ll work with a collaborative team, develop design calculations, visit project sites, support construction administration, and grow your

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 2–5 years of relevant engineering experience involving water infrastructure.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to read engineering drawings.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Design municipal water infrastructure and prepare plans, calculations, specs, and docs for water main replacements and storage facilities.
• Evaluate existing water systems, identify deficiencies, and propose improvements.
• Support projects from planning through construction closeout and lifecycle.
• Manage multiple assignments across projects with-priority management and collaboration with PMs and staff.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, plans, and specifications.
• Participate in fieldwork and construction reviews to verify conditions.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams to address questions and keep deliverables moving.
• Grow expertise within the Drinking Water Program and assume greater responsibility.
