Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree.
• Developed understanding of municipal markets.
• Experience in municipal public finance, debt capital markets or another applicable structured finance/fixed income role
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with programming languages such as Python or VBA are a plus
• Excellent communication and presentation skills – written and verbal
• Curious, inquisitive, collaborative, attention to detail, analytical, self-starting, team-oriented
• Eager to use new technologies, data and automation to enhance traditional municipal syndicate and financing job functions
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and simultaneously manage multiple high priority projects

Responsibilities

• Provide the analytical, quantitative and operational support necessary to execute bespoke financing structures
• Develop and maintain marketing materials for existing and new product offerings that appropriately reflect current marketing conditions and technicals
• Work closely with Public Finance bankers and the salesforce force to identify both client needs and design structures to meet those needs
• Develop and participate in presentations to municipal and not-for-profit borrowers, as well as domestic and international institutional investors
• Work and collaborate with other desks and market makers at Morgan Stanley and externally to support trading activities, including short-term and long term products
