Job summary

City of Tulare seeks a visionary Project Manager to champion the future of Tulare through major infrastructure and modernization programs. You will lead a portfolio spanning transportation, water and wastewater, civic facilities, and strategic initiatives, ensuring projects stay on time and on budget.

You will supervise a project management team, mentor staff, and collaborate with the City Council, regulatory bodies, developers, and the public.

Qualifications

Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in construction management, civil engineering, business administration, or related field.
Four (4) years of experience in construction or project management with demonstrated experience in public projects.
PMI certification is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Navigate complex municipal projects from inception to close-out, managing scope, budget, and schedule.
Lead and mentor a project management team across City departments.
Collaborate with developers, contractors, regulatory agencies, and the public.
Manage project cost accounting and oversee grants and cost-recovery compliance.
