Job summary

The City of Lancaster, Texas is seeking an experienced Project Engineer/Engineering Manager to lead the development and delivery of civil infrastructure projects, under the Director of Public Works. You will oversee planning, design, and construction, ensuring compliance with City standards.

The role requires a PE in Texas, 7–12 years of Civil Engineering experience (or 6–10 with a Masters/PhD), and strong project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 7–12 years of related experience (or 6–10 with a Masters/PhD).
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas; valid Texas Class C Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure and utilities engineering, water & wastewater, floodplain management, transportation engineering, construction management, and development review.
• Direct project execution, assign resources, monitor schedules and ensure compliance with City standards.
• Prepare, review, and seal plans and specifications; manage consultants and professional services contracts; coordinate with other City departments.
