Qualifications

Neel-Schaffer is seeking responses from qualified applicants for the position of Municipal Project Engineer to join our growing engineering firm. This position will be based in our Nashville or Murfreesboro (TN) locations or our new office in Huntsville, AL. The successful candidate will have 3-plus years of experience in civil site design, roadway, or general municipal engineering. You will be a part of an Engineering Team and will assist other teams as project and client demands dictate.

Neel-Schaffer currently serves as the City Engineer for several municipalities throughout the Nashville Metro area and is expanding in Huntsville. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing discipline/market sector! It’s also a challenging opportunity to grow and stretch the right candidate’s own capabilities and civil engineering design knowledge/experience. We need someone who enjoys interacting with public officials and truly making a difference in the communities in which we live and work!

You may be working on the design of an important project, reviewing a proposed land development project, or making a presentation to a local City Council.

We need someone who embraces challenge and opportunity, and wants to grow with an Employee-Owned, Multi-Disciplined engineering company.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Passed FE Exam.
• 3-plus years of experience with Municipal (City) Engineering design preferred; including but not limited to, civil-site design, roadway and sidewalk design, drainage design, water/wastewater design, or structural design.
• Proficiency in Microstation GEOPAK or OpenRoads required.
• Strong verbal communication and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
