Job summary

The City of McAllen is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform unskilled manual labor in the construction, repair, and maintenance of City facilities and services, including refuse collection, street cleaning, graffiti cleanup, and utility installation/repair. This role operates under direct supervision and performs routine tasks with little to no public contact.

Responsibilities include assisting with routine servicing tasks, reporting requirements as needed, and adhering to all safety rules

Responsibilities

• Perform unskilled manual labor involved with construction, repair and maintenance of City facilities or servicing an operation, such as refuse collection, brush collection, street cleaning, graffiti cleaning, signs installations, and water and sewer installation and/or repair.
• Work under direct supervision with routine decision-making and no supervisory responsibilities; limited public contact; must follow safety rules and regulations.
