HBK Engineering is seeking a Licensed Professional Engineer. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a project team consisting of professional engineers, project engineers and designers who are involved in the design, modification, and analysis of new and existing utility systems. The candidate would also support our municipal related designs as well as our growing portfolio of land development projects, including electric vehicle charging stations, commercial and utility-scale solar, electric substation, battery energy storage sites and utility-related civil site work. A civil engineering project manager is responsible for managing staff, providing leadership, and assessing project deadlines and financial expenditures for large-scale engineering projects.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

1. Lead and work with a team to identify all project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
2. Prepare budgets, bids, contracts, funding requests, and communication plans.
3. Manage, supervise, and schedule execution of projects.
4. Monitor projects' productivity, quality, and progress.
5. Develop and maintain external client relationships.
6. Ensure project safety and remain within projects' cost constraints.
7. Lead, support and direct project managers, and assistants in planning, scheduling, and implementation of designs and testing.
8. Lead a project team consisting of project engineers, designers, and field personnel involved in the design of linear utility and land development projects, including plan and specification preparation, stormwater management calculations as well as client and jurisdictional stakeholder coordination.
9. Mentor engineers and designers.
10. Negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with sub-consultants and clients.
11. Manage, develop, and evaluate resources within the project team.
12. Lead Safety initiatives as needed by the organization.
13. Manage, monitor, and maintain contracts related to projects.
14. Manage financials and metrics related to projects.
15. Travel Required as needed.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the industry.
3. Professional Engineering license required.
4. Technical expertise related to managing projects in the public right-of-way in our industry.
5. Technical expertise related to managing site development projects.
6. Previous engineering, design or construction management experience.
7. Experience with site civil grading and stormwater design.
8. Experience with roadway and infrastructure design.
9. Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or Bentley design software.
10. Experience obtaining approvals from jurisdictional authorities.

Pay range: $95,000.00 to $140,000.00 annually, commensurate with experience.

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and the potential to participate in our discretionary annual incentive bonus program.
