Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
• A minimum of 1+ years of experience in municipal law, with emphasis on litigation, CEQA, Brown Act, code enforcement, land use, and civil litigation.

Responsibilities

• Providing legal counsel on municipal law and public entity defense including land use, code enforcement, and the Brown Act.
• Representing clients in municipal litigation before courts, agencies, and tribunals.
• Drafting and reviewing ordinances, resolutions, contracts, deeds, leases, and other legal documents.
• Conducting legal research and preparing memoranda, opinions, and briefs on municipal law issues.
• Advising clients on CEQA compliance and environmental laws.
