Job summary

The City of Garland is seeking a detail-oriented Financial & Grants Analyst to support financial, accounting, underwriting, auditing, and grant administration for City programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial background with experience or education in accounting, banking, lending, underwriting, auditing, or financial analysis.

Municipal accounting or grant experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of related experience in accounting, lending, underwriting, auditing, budgeting, or grant administration.
• Strong numerical abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review financial statements, tax returns, bank statements, and budgets.
• Assist with underwriting for city loan, housing, and development programs.
• Reconcile records across city systems and prepare supporting documentation.
