City of San Diego is seeking a Financial Operations Manager to oversee the accounting, budget, disbursements, and financial reporting for the Department of Finance. You will lead the Grant/Successor Agency/Debt/Public Utilities Accounting sections and ensure GAAP compliance and clear financial statements.

The role requires strong communication, analytical skills, and ability to present complex information to officials and the public.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration or related field.
• Master's degree and/or CPA highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting, budget, disbursements and financial reporting functions for the department.
• Lead Grant/Successor Agency/Debt/Public Utilities Accounting sections.
• Prepare schedules of federal awards and other financial reports; present to City Council and committees.
