Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible governmental finance experience including supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience in municipal finance preferred.
• Professional certification or advanced credentials such as CPA, CPFO, or MPA are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates, and evaluates the City’s overall financial activities including budgeting, cash management, investing, accounting, auditing, and financial reporting.
• Leads the Finance Department and sets goals aligned with City priorities.
• Develops and implements financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Oversees budgets, CIP, bond sales, purchasing, financial reports, and asset accounting.
• Prepares and conveys summary financial information to City Council and stakeholders.
• Manages cash, investments, and banking operations; coordinates annual City audit.
