Mannik Smith Group is seeking a Municipal Engineer in Rockford, Illinois. You will provide civil and municipal engineering services, working directly with clients and project managers to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

The role emphasizes teamwork, learning from experienced staff, and growth within Fehr Graham-affiliated locations across Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin. A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required, with up to two years’ experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 0–2 years' experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Ability to apply standard engineering practices to municipal projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide civil, municipal, land development and/or environmental engineering services.
• Draft reports and assist with specifications; select equipment preliminarily.
• Work with clients and project managers to deliver projects on time and on budget.
• Collaborate in a team environment and learn from senior staff.
