Job summary

Wilson Engineering is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to support municipal infrastructure projects. You will design power distribution, control systems, instrumentation, lighting, and standby power, coordinating with civil and mechanical teams.

Responsibilities include design drawings, calculations, submittal reviews, and construction-phase support, with opportunities in client interaction and project coordination. A PE license and 5–10+ years’ experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of experience in electrical and/or control systems design.
• Professional Engineer license is required.
• Experience with municipal infrastructure projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AC power systems design.
• Proficiency with NEC, NFPA, WAC and related codes.
• Ability to read relay logic and develop wiring diagrams.
• Experience with AutoCAD for electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical design drawings, specs, calculations and reports.
• Design power distribution, control systems, instrumentation, and lighting for facilities.
• Coordinate design with civil, mechanical, and control systems staff.
• Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and construction docs.
• Support project scheduling, budgets, and quality control.
• Visit sites and assist during construction-phase services.
