Job summary

Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber currently seeks a Municipal Civil Engineer to join the Toledo team. This full-time role focuses on planning and designing water, sewer, and road projects for local municipalities in the Toledo area.

The candidate should have FE (EIT) and ideally a PE license, with 8+ years of relevant experience and proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. The job offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for hybrid work.

Qualifications

• FE (EIT) exam completed or in progress.
• Licensed PE is a plus.
• 8+ years of experience in municipal water, sewer and road design.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with ODOT specs and Local Agency Program is a plus.
• Strong communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design water main, sanitary and storm sewer, and road projects for local municipalities.
• Perform design calculations, quantify bid items, develop cost estimates, CAD drafting, and reports.
• Specify project-specific technical specs, standard drawings, and Maintenance of Traffic.
• Assist in bidding and construction phase services including RFIs and shop drawings.
• Collaborate with multi-office teams to provide consulting engineering services.
• Interact daily with project teams in a multi-discipline environment.
