Job summary

Barry Isett & Associates is seeking a client-focused Municipal Engineer to join our multi-discipline team in Pennsylvania. You will develop and maintain client relations, attend meetings, and manage municipal infrastructure projects with a collaborative group including project managers, junior engineers, and CAD technicians.

The role requires seven years of municipal design experience, a PA PE license is preferred, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Civil Engineer with at least seven years' experience in municipal design and management.
Experience building and maintaining client relations and involvement in business development.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D is preferred.
Ability to attend evening meetings and travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

Work with elected or appointed municipal officials to determine and meet the municipality's needs.
Attend public meetings as municipal engineer representative.
Conduct or supervise plan reviews for subdivisions and land developments.
Work with staff to confirm that subdivisions/land developments are constructed consistent with approvals.
Manage and design infrastructure projects (roads, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water distribution, parks).
Manage and review bid specifications and provide construction management for municipal projects.
Prepare cost estimates or review estimates.
Prepare project proposals, contracts, and reports.
Client and project management.
Recruiting/hiring/mentoring junior engineers.
