Job summary

Woodward, Inc. in Loves Park, IL is hiring a Machinist for 2nd shift (M-Th 3:30pm-1:50am) with overtime as needed. You will machine Aerospace parts on Multus setups and support the Rock Cut Campus operations.

Responsibilities include basic set up, operation of CNC/Manual machines, inspections, and adherence to SOPs. Prior machining experience and ability to read GD&T blueprints are required.

Qualifications

• Previous Machine Operation experience
• Basic Mechanical aptitude
• Basic computer skills (email, data entry, etc.)
• Knowledge and ability to read and interpret blueprints & GD&T

Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Performs basic Set up and operates multiple CNC or Manual machines to produce precision metal parts
• Performs supporting operations while following established procedures
• Performs 1st piece inspections and may be required to train in these processes
• Process Adherence: Follows detailed work instructions to maintain production efficiency and accuracy; interpret engineering blueprints and GD&T
• Quality Control: Uses various gauges to inspect finished products and records data per SOP
• Organization & Cleanliness: Applies 5S principles and improves workstation organization
• Safety Mindset: Adheres to safety protocols within the team
