Job summary

The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, Colorado is seeking an Experienced Maintenance Associate with electrical, plumbing, welding, and carpentry skills. You will work under the guidance of the Chief of Operations to manage safety, maintenance, and long-term facility care on-site.

Qualifications include 3–5 years in related fields, strong communication, a valid Colorado driver’s license, and the ability to lift 75 lbs and work outdoors in extreme conditions.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of related field experience preferred
• Some college or vocational training preferred but not required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Own reliable transportation required

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of grounds, facilities, and equipment
• Operate heavy equipment and assist in project construction
• Perform welding, plumbing and electrical tasks as required
• Coordinate with the Director of Operations and Executive Director on safety and maintenance
• Lift 75 lbs or more and work outdoors in temperature extremes and inclement weather
• Provide timely communication of facilities and grounds matters to leadership
