Job summary

Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) in Annapolis, MD, seeks a full-time facilities maintenance worker. You will perform repairs and upkeep of buildings, grounds, fixtures and equipment, ensuring guest rooms and public spaces are well maintained.

Duties include plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical and painting, with safety training and physical requirements. Eligible for benefits starting day one, including healthcare, retirement, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience with demonstrated skill in two trades (Carpentry, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical or Painting).
• Knowledge of safety and environmental rules and regulations concerning procedures, tools, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Regularly performs maintenance and housekeeping tasks for buildings, grounds, fixtures and equipment.
• Requires two or more trades; maintain log and report status to supervisor; follow up on maintenance requests.
• Performs plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry and painting repairs as needed.
• Ensures safety training is completed and practices are in compliance with instructions.
• Lifts and carries up to 50 pounds and works in indoor/outdoor environments.
