Job summary

City of Hope Orange County in Irvine is hiring a Facilities Mechanic III to maintain and repair structures, machinery, and systems across the campus. This role requires hands-on skilled trades work across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and related maintenance tasks.

Night shift details: Night shift typically works 11:00 pm to 7:30 am with weekend availability required; this position supports our 11-acre cancer campus, delivering safe, reliable facility services to enable lifesaving cancer

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 4 additional years of experience; college or trade school preferred.
• 5+ years of applicable crafts experience; at least 2 years in HVAC, electrical, autoclave, locksmith, plumbing, advanced carpentry, or advanced painting.
• Current CA driver's license with a good driving record; trade certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide services normally performed by HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Preventive Maintenance, Carpentry trades.
• Assist other Engineering shops as necessary to complete work projects on schedule.
• Install and repair equipment according to building and safety codes.
• Operate power tools and precision measuring instruments.
