Job summary

The Town of Brookline is seeking an experienced HVAC Maintenance Craftsperson to join the Building Department. You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and installing HVAC systems in town buildings, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Candidates should have 3-5 years of HVAC experience, a high school diploma, and a valid Driver’s License. This role offers an hourly salary ranging from $34.18 to $35.92, generous leave time, health insurance, and excellent working conditions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of HVAC experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Valid Class D Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC work in town buildings; maintain, service, and install HVAC equipment.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment.

Skills

Strong understanding of HVAC systems

Strong troubleshooting abilities

Ability to read plans and diagnose issues

Comfortable performing physical work

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Technical training in HVAC preferred
