Job summary

Denny’s, Inc. is seeking a versatile cook to prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner and coordinate multiple tickets to keep the kitchen running smoothly. You’ll work closely with servers and staff to ensure plates leave the kitchen hot and accurately timed.

Ideal candidates have experience as a short order or line cook, can multitask under pressure, and adhere to safety and sanitation standards. This is a hands-on role with flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a short order cook, line cook, grill cook, or restaurant cook preferred.
• Ability to multitask and manage full meal prep across multiple tickets.
• Knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and cooking techniques.
• Team player with solid communication skills.
• Must be 18 or older and able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Cook entire meals simultaneously and coordinate multiple items for each order.
• Manage multiple tickets at a time with attention to timing and accuracy.
• Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrées.
• Operate grills, fryers, and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and portion control standards.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to deliver excellent guest experiences.
• Keep station clean, organized, and ready for the next rush.
