Job summary

Troutman Pepper Locke is seeking a Tax Analyst to support multi-state tax compliance, reconcile accounts, prepare tax filings, and assist with planning and process improvements. The role involves collaboration with partners and internal departments to ensure accurate tax reporting and adherence to deadlines.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with 3+ years of tax experience; CPA or CPA candidate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant tax experience, preferably in a partnership or professional services environment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to information requests from partners, tax authorities and internal departments, preparing support as needed.
• Support partner tax reporting, including Schedule K-1s, state withholding, composite filings, and PTET elections.
• Manage multijurisdictional sales and use tax compliance, including taxability reviews, accruals, reconciliations, and filings.
• Prepare balance sheet analyses and assist with annual budgeting as needed.
