Job summary

Metronet seeks a Permit Coordinator to manage permits with DOTs, railways, Army Corps of Engineers and other authorities to keep construction on schedule. You will travel to expedite approvals and coordinate with internal teams and external agencies.

Ideal candidates have multi-state permitting experience, strong organization, and excellent communication skills to ensure timely submittals and approvals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with permitting in multiple states preferred.
• Ability to work in multidiscipline, cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate permitting activities based on direction from OSP Construction.
• Determine necessary permits and coordinate with internal and external resources.
• Interact with agencies to submit permit applications and respond promptly.
• Build relationships with internal departments to expand Metronet services.
• Manage work to schedule, remove roadblocks, and forecast release dates.
• Provide guidance to ensure pole applications are submitted on time.
• Document and track permit progress, reporting delays with solutions.
• Monitor permit packages and adjust to meet local requirements.
