Job summary

Harborview Medical Center in Seattle seeks a Registered Nurse to join the 9NJB Specialty Clinics (Urology, General Surgery, Hematology/Oncology, and more) on a 100% FTE day shift (M-F, 9:00am–5:30pm).

The role supports preoperative teaching, wound and catheter care, and assists physicians with in-clinic procedures within a multidisciplinary team. Active WA RN license and 2+ years of acute/outpatient experience required.

Qualifications

• Active WA State or Multi-State RN License by start date.
• At least 2 years of acute care or outpatient nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve the Chest, General Surgery, Hematology/Oncology, Palliative Care and Urology clinics.
• Provide preoperative teaching.
• Perform wound care and catheter care.
• Assist MDs with in-clinic procedures.
• Coordinate care and educate patients.
• Conduct pre-assessment evaluations and intake for multi-service clinics.
• Perform point-of-care procedures (urine dipstick, pregnancy test, etc.).
• Demonstrate sterile technique for minor procedures and wound care.
• Discharge patients and plan collaborative care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for continuum of care.
• Phone triaging as needed.
