Job summary

UBMD Internal Medicine is seeking motivated Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join multidisciplinary teams across multiple divisions. Opportunities span outpatient and inpatient settings with strong physician collaboration and pathways for professional growth.

The role offers academic medicine experience, team-based care, and opportunities to advance in Allergy, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Hematology/Oncology, and more.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current NY State licensure (or eligibility).
• National certification: NP – AANP or ANCC; PA – NCCPA; DEA certification (or eligible).
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history and physical exams.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Document care in the EMR.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Depending on the clinical specialty there could be on-call responsibilities.
