The Medical Laboratory Technician position is assigned to P&LMS and performs waived, moderate, and complex tests on biological specimens across Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Microbiology, Urinalysis and Phlebotomy.

Candidates must clearly demonstrate their experience in the application package, with attention to KSA responses. English proficiency and certification eligibility are required, with grandfathering options for current VA employees.

Formación

• Knowledge of MLT principles and QA/QC in laboratory settings.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair instrumentation.
• Ability to work as a team in a clinical lab and interpret results.

Responsabilidades

• Perform waived, moderate, and complex tests across Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Microbiology, Urinalysis and Phlebotomy.
• Maintain quality control and document control systems for reagents and supplies.
• Communicate results and consult with health care team members and external customers.
