Job summary

Central Health in Austin, TX seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver specialty nursing care in a patient-centered, multi-specialty environment. The RN will collaborate with the care team to optimize outcomes, educate patients, and support flow and staffing on the unit.

The role requires an TX RN license, BLS, and strong nursing documentation skills. Experience with Epic and Microsoft Office is preferred to enhance clinical workflows and patient care quality.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Unrestricted RN license in Texas (or eligibility).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the patient care team to optimize outcomes.
• Oversee assigned team and staffing flow.
• Assess physical, social, and emotional needs of patients and families.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatments, and medications.
• Support care coordination and referrals for continuity of care.
• Assist with procedures, medications, and rooming per protocols.
• Perform EKG, spirometry, point-of-care testing, and wound care as needed.
• Participate in daily huddles and quality improvement activities.
