Job summary

The Kirkwood Housing Authority is seeking a maintenance worker responsible for completing daily work orders related to carpentry, maintenance, repair, and upkeep of its facilities and property. The role also involves assisting with building projects and other duties as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with technical training and at least three years of experience across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or related fields, plus strong preventive maintenance

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with technical training in carpentry, building maintenance, or related field.
At least three years of experience in three of: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, machinery, troubleshooting, or equipment maintenance.
Strong knowledge of general building maintenance and repair and ability to troubleshoot various building systems.

Responsibilities

Completes work orders and maintenance requests as assigned by the supervisor.
Repairs, services, maintains, and inspects facilities, equipment, and property.
Performs general carpentry, building maintenance and repair tasks as needed.
Performs various manual labor tasks and other maintenance duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Provides required on-call maintenance coverage during nights and weekends and responds to emergency maintenance calls as needed.
Responds to emergency maintenance issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
