Job summary

Chestnut Labs in Riverside, CA seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to ensure smooth operation of facilities and production equipment. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, perform preventive maintenance, and carry out repairs or upgrades while maintaining safety and GMP standards.

Documentation of activities, collaboration with production teams, and training of colleagues are key parts of the role. Lifting up to 50 lbs and shift work are expected.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or vocational training preferred.
• 2-3 years in facility and production maintenance environment.
• HVAC, refrigeration experience desired but not required.
• Experience with boilers, chillers, and conveyors is valued.
• Familiarity with CMMS, MVP is a plus.
• Strong safety mindset; OSHA standards awareness (LOTO, Arc Flash).
• Analytical skills to perform root cause analysis on failures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces.
• Proficient with power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Good written/verbal communication; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and diagnostics of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
• Repairs and modifications to equipment to enhance performance and safety.
• Compliance with safety regs, GMPs, SOPs, and documentation upkeep.
• Documentation of maintenance activities, repairs and inspections.
• Collaborate with production teams to address issues and support goals.
• Training and developing others on maintenance practices.
