Job summary

TEGNA Inc. operates KFSM-TV Fayet, a CBS affiliate, seeking a Multi-Skilled Journalist to craft unique, engaging stories for TV and digital platforms.

You will shoot, write, produce, and edit content under tight deadlines, while expanding our presence across social and on-air channels. The role requires strong storytelling, solid news judgment, and the ability to develop sources and ideas for breaking news.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years reporting experience preferred.
• Must possess solid news judgment, strong communication skills, creativity, and ethical decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Perform authoritative, compelling live shots in a developing story or in breaking news situations.

• Attend editorial meetings and offer story ideas daily.
• Write in an exciting, captivating and authentic manner.

KFSM-TV Fayet, the CBS TEGNA affiliate, is looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Journalist to help maintain our tradition of superior reporting and newsgathering. We are interested in finding a journalist who can create unique, memorable and well written stories, who can share them on all platforms with a mix of outstanding photography and unforgettable editing. Current driver's license and ability to operate news gathering vehicle to and from various locations is required.

Requirements

• 1-3 years reporting experience preferred.
• Must possess solid newsjudgment, display strong communication skills, creativity, andethical decision-making skills.
• Strong writing skills, production skills and tease writing abilities.
• ENPS, EDIUS and Axis graphics experience is preferred.
• Must be organized with the ability to work under constant deadlines.
• Must be able to calmly handlelive breaking news situations and changing events.
• Proven social and digital content creation ability.
• Knowledge of Fayetteville a plus
