Job summary

TEGNA’s WFMY-TV Greensboro is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Journalist to produce compelling stories across TV, online, and social platforms. The role requires strong writerly voice, sharp news judgment, and the ability to craft engaging content under tight deadlines.

The candidate will shoot, write, produce and edit stories for on-air and online, participate in editorial meetings, and develop sources for ongoing coverage.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years reporting experience preferred.
• Solid news judgment, strong communication, creativity, and ethical decision-making.
• Strong writing, production, and tease writing abilities.
• Must be organized and able to work under constant deadlines.
• Knowledge of Greensboro a plus.

• Mine the community to find sources who will keep you informed about events and ideas in their areas of expertise

WFMY-TV Greensboro, the CBS TEGNA affiliate, is looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Journalist to help maintain our tradition of superior reporting and newsgathering. We are interested in finding a journalist who can create unique, memorable and well written stories, who can share them on all platforms with a mix of outstanding photography and unforgettable editing. Current driver's license and ability to operate news gathering vehicle to and from various locations is required.

Requirements

• 1-3 years reporting experience preferred.
• Must possess solid newsjudgment, display strong communication skills, creativity, andethical decision-making skills.
• Strong writing skills, production skills and tease writing abilities.
• ENPS, EDIUS and Axis graphics experience is preferred.
• Must be organized with the ability to work under constant deadlines.
• Must be able to calmly handlelive breaking news situations and changing events.
• Proven social and digital content creation ability.
• Knowledge of Greensboro a plus
