Job summary

NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform building upkeep, repair and general facilities support across campus. The role includes interior/exterior repairs, grounds maintenance, and vehicle care to ensure safe, functional college spaces.

The ideal candidate has the equivalent of a high school diploma and about two years of experience in building trades or equipment maintenance, with knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and safety

Qualifications

• The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma.
• Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades, general building maintenance, or in the repair or maintenance of mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Makes minor interior/exterior repairs and maintains furniture and equipment.
• Mows grass, trims weeds, and gathers/removes campus trash.
• Maintains college vehicles and keeps maintenance records.
• Cleans/replaces filters on HVAC systems and performs minor repairs.
• Mops, waxes and vacuums floors as required.
• Inspects fire doors, fire extinguishers and exit signs.
• Supports department and college goals with additional duties as needed.
